Human Resource Consultant

Provides information and assistance on personnel issues, such as wage and hour issues, hiring and firing issues, and compliance with federal and state regulations. Scholarship

The association provides assistance for South Carolina students who wish to pursue a higher education as well as students interested in pursing a career in the tire industry. The objective of the scholarship fund is to provide assistance for formal education for the employees and/or family of dealer members.

Legislative Information

State-wide support, representation and assistance with efforts to modify regulations and stop unnecessary legislation that pertains to the tire industry.

SCTDRA members learn from each other and develop relationships with colleagues whom they can call on each other when questions or issues arise.

National Tire Safety Week

SCTDRA has partnered with National Tire Safety Week in an effort to raise community awareness about tire safety. Tire Safety Week kits are sent to members upon request as well as a press release they can use, and a resolution from the South Carolina Governor. A special publication for consumers is created and distributed to the independent tire dealers during the week to increase consumer awareness.

Annual Directory

A membership directory created annually provides members with contact information for all members as well as other pertinent information to the association and the industry.

Quarterly Newsletters

SCTDRA produces a quarterly newsletter. The newsletters provide information regarding members and current issues in the tire industry.

Training

The association offers business training. Programs include topics such as: Compensating Technicians and You, Marketing, Operations Management, Tech Time Management and others.
